Staying On Track

As countries and cities rapidly expand and become more congested, this allows for the development of new transportation infrastructure, such as adding to existing railway lines, trams and train systems. However, stray current interference from these transportation methods is becoming a serious concern as it can cause pipeline corrosion, which could, in turn, result in environmental pollution, unsafe operations and reduced pipeline service life. While stray current interference is often only addressed as a reaction to an immediate problem, this is a dangerous and potentially costly strategy.
